CASTING CALL

INDOOR/OUTDOOR

by Kenny Finkle

Indoor/Outdoor is a quirky, warm-hearted romantic comedy that looks at love and relationships through the eyes of a frisky house cat named Samantha. Her owner, Shuman, doesn’t always understand her, but he knows he wants her to stay at home. Things get complicated when a wild, handsome stranger shows up at the sliding glass door telling her that the grass is greener in the outside world. A self-proclaimed cat therapist steps in to mediate. Dreams of adventure fill Samantha’s heart, until she’s willing to risk everything for love, only to discover that what she longs for might be in the last place she thinks to look.

 We congratulate our fantastic cast!!

Please let me know when the tickets are available for “Menopause The Musical”. My husband and I stayed at the Ollaliberry Inn this past February and met you there. I can’t wait to see the production and revisit the Inn.

About Us

In the fall of 2005, Jill Turnbow, John Geever and Joe Eister were
performing together in San Luis, in a play directed by Michael
Siebrass. They began discussing the need for a theatre in the area
where more compelling works could be produced. And from that
first conversation, Houselights Theatre was born. Initially Morro Bay
was the desired locale, due mainly to their lack of live
entertainment, but a suitable location was difficult to secure.
Houselights staged several successful readings around town, but a
permenant home was never found. And during that time, Joe Eister
stepped down and moved on to other projects.

Then Allied Arts stepped in and invited Houselights to join them in
their new theatre venture in Cambria. Located now in the old
grammar school on Main St., Houselights Theatre is prepping for its
inaugural season. We feel this area is rife with talent that has been
underutilitzed. We have a desire to provide a supportive
environment where artistic expression is nurtured and talent
rewarded. We believe every audience loves a great story well told.
The play’s the thing!

I’d like to hear about Houselights’ productions, auditions included. I still wish it were in Morro Bay, but Cambria’s not too far for me to drive, either to see a play or to be in one. Please keep me on your mailing list and/or e-mail list for play times/dates and auditions.
